The Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014 has appointed Jan Scott as head of human resources

The Commonwealth Games will make a total of 1,044 full-time hires leading up to the Games, including technical sports positions, corporate posts and event management.

Scott began her career with the engineering solutions firm Weir Group and she has worked across the private, public and charitable sectors.She has recently worked HR directorships at Motorola Ireland, ex-forces charity Erskine and pharmaceuticals firm Aptuit.

Scott said: “I look forward to playing my part in delivering an experienced and capable workforce that will make Glasgow 2014 an outstanding Games.”
